University of Michigan Dean of Students Office

The Dean of Students Office serves as a central point of inquiry for students with concerns not addressed in other areas of the University including mental health-related concerns. Possessing an effective understanding of University policies, procedures, and community life, staff work with individual students, student groups, staff, and faculty to resolve conflicts and eliminate barriers to educational and personal goals. Staff also provide and coordinate university resources and provide education and support to faculty and staff dealing with students in difficulty. They are also available to talk with parents about university policies, practices and resources and the Michigan student experience.
