Center for Education of Women
The Center for the Education of Women (CEW), a unit of the University of Michigan, offers services to students, faculty, staff and community members. The CEW’s counseling services support women and men through an exploration of educational and career interests within the context of relationships and life circumstances. The counselors work within a developmental framework to help women and men consider their options, make informed choices, and both define and resolve problems, while focusing on issues of achieving balance between work and family responsibilities. Common concerns of participants include goals clarification, feedback on resumes, cover letters, application materials, etc., how to start a job search, educational goals, how to return to college or graduate school, and work/life/family balance issues.
