This section is designed to help students with mental health disorders to recognize their symptoms early and seek help before symptoms progress and lead to problems.

 

 

Recognizing Patterns in Symptoms
Everyone, regardless of whether or not they have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder, experiences distress from time to time. But people with mental health disorders tend to experience distress more frequently and more intensely. This section provides useful questions to help you determine when it is time to seek professional help for your distress.

Knowing When to Seek Professional Help
Identifying the patterns in your own symptoms can be very beneficial for you and your healthcare provider as you work together to manage your illness.  Learn more about why and how this could be helpful for you in managing your mental health disorder.
